JLS - JLS

If these lads had done things the tough way and built themselves up from playing small shows and letting their talent talk for them I would have had far more respect for them, instead they sold their soul to the devil through X-Factor and have an album out in time for Christmas…shock horror.

The thing that really hits you about this album, is that from when they first emerged onto the show with their distinctive style and soulful vocal harmonies, they’ve been reduced down into a bland r’n’b machine that is devoid of personality and character and not one singletrack on here is believable.

By that I mean you don’t really feel anything is done from the heart, I bet if you ask them in ten years time when one of them is getting trotted out on the identity parade on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, they never wanted the album to sound like this.

Of course they’ll sell shit loads of records over hte next year or two, but i’ll be amazed if they are still selling them in five years time.
