Philadelpia soul star Kevin Michael celebrates having the biggest afro in pop along with sharing two names with me, by releasing his super slick debut album Kevin Michael.
It may be his debut but he clearly isn’t short of friends, Wyclef Jean and Q-Tip both turn up on here and contribute decent tracks. The focus though throughout the album is very much on him though and it does showcase his smooth vocal nicely.
My only nagging doubt with it is if it has enough stand out tracks to still be listened to in five years time, I guess only time will tell though on front, as an opening shot though it’s certainly a fair go.
