Kitty, Daisy & Lewis - Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
I don’t know why it’s happened this year in particular, or if it’s actually just me that hasn’t stumbled upon the right albums in recent years, but we seem to be inundated with some brilliant albums at the moment, that are inspired by the 1930’s through to the 1950’s.
We’ve had The Sugars and The Bookhouse Boys debut albums already this year and now we get the the self titled debut from Kitty, Daisy & Lewis a London trio who not only sound like they are from that era, but also dress and style their hair the same way.
The only slight complaint you could have here is that with the exception of one song they are all old classics, that though is a slightly churlish argument to raise as they have made every effort to give the tracks a beautifully authentic sound, right up to building their own studio using really old equipment.
A really pleasing album that hints at a huge and very bright future for these youngsters, if you like a bit of classic rock ‘n’ roll then this could be the album for you.
