Sebastian Tellier - La Ritournelle

Lets cut to the chase on this one folks, Sebastian Tellier has created one of the most beautiful, symphonic dance tracks you’ll ever hear in your lives, never mind this year, from the opening bar to the closing one six minutes later it’s just achingly gorgeous stuff all the way through.

La Ritournelle has already sold 4,000 import 12”s in the UK and has been championed by everybody from the Una Bombers to Pete Tong. Everything about it oozes class from the almost classical sounding music to the intimate yet somehow breezy vocals.

Mix wise, apart from the original you also get a superb reworking courtesy of the indemand Mr Dan and two very neat mixes from Jim Noir and Jake Bullit who chose to respect the original by not tinkering too much with either the mechanics or the vibe of the track.

The single gets a full release on the 26th September now and is taken from the album Politics (full review to follow).

It could all be so simple, but you'd rather make it hard, loving you is like a battle and we both end up with scars. -- Lauryn Hill
