Semifinalists - Last Pretending
I really loved Odd Situation as a single, despite it being the first single off of their second album it was the first track I’d heard by Semifinalists and it really did build up my expectations.
I’ve struggled with the album though, 2 is a mixed affair that has as many low as it does high points and I don’t think that Last Pretending is the best choice of follow up single. It comes over like a lazy 80’s duet ballad with a bit of an electronic backing track and as far as I know that is not normally a good thing.
The single is out now.
