Pretty Ricky - Late Night Special
The name put me off to start with I have to be honest, more so when I thought Pretty Ricky was just one person…I mean how up your own backside can you be?
Digging a bit deeper though and it turns out that Pretty Ricky is a group of young lads who have been tearing up a bit of a storm over in the U.S. The first album (Blue Stars) by them sold nearly a million copies and they have just released the follow up Late Night Special.
I can only imagine that the boys have set hearts fluttering with toned muscles and bad boy attitude because musically they seem something of a damp squid. Nothing on here suggests individual character, it all sounds like a hundred other acts that have been and gone well before them.
The album is out now.
