Lenka - Lenka
It’s only recently that I said that the record companies seem to be falling over themselves to sign the next kooky or vintage sounding female singer that they hope will be a big star, Epic are no different, except they’ve gone about things a bit quieter than their rivals and may yet trump them all.
Lenka is the lady that they are pinning their hopes on and the signs are good for her (and the label). she has crafted a fine debut album here that is both Kate Nash sweet and Fiest savvy, tracks like The Show, Don’t Let Me Fall, Anything I’m Not and Live Like You’re Dying have a magical quality to them.
Don’t be surprised to find her coming up fast on the outside with this album, she’s a talent alright.
