Layo & Bushwacka - Life2Live

Layo & Bushwacka return with the first single from the new album that has the difficult task of following the Night Works album which was commercially and critically successful a couple of years back.

In truth I found that album to be patchy in places, the stand out song single that broke it was the Love Story track that borrowed heavily from Kings Of Tomorrows ‘Finally’.

On listening to Life2Live I have to say that i’m not optomistic of this album being anymore consistent. The beat and mood of the song is deep and dark, unfortunately though the vocals are limited to distorted and simplistic lines that offer nothing to the track overall.

Shame because as an instrumental track it might have worked better, no surprise then that the remixers have opted to leave out the vocal in the main with the bouncy Green Velvet Remix being the best for me.

The single is out now with the album Feels Closer out sometime in March.
