The Delays - Love Made Visible

Southampton’s Delay’s burst onto the scene a few years ago with their album Faded Seaside Glamour, an album rich with 60’s inspired sunshine harmonies and melodic guitar tracks. The second album You See No Colours was less well received though after a subtle change in sound and they looked to be disappearing off into the abyss having been resigned to supporting Embrace on their last arena tour.

They’ve never been a band that i’ve been a huge fan of to be honest, however the lead track from this limited EP, Love Made Invisible is probably the best thing i’ve heard by the band. It’s catchy, the melody is their for all to hear and it glides along effortlessly in a strange pyschedelic way.

The rest of the EP is in truth nothing to write home about but well worth a purchase before next years album for the lead track alone.
