The Secret Show - Lovers
The Secret Show aren’t a group i’d heard of until recently, the release of their well received album Impressionist Road Map Of the West didn’t give me any clue to it’s origin at all. It turns out though that this is the side project of Matthew Davies lead vocalist with Funeral For A Friend and it’s a massive departure in sound.
Lovers is one of the most upbeat tracks on the album, certainly one of the more mainstream songs, but not neccessarily the groups strongest. This one see’s an all male lead and no female backing vocals and althought it’s quite catchy it doesn’t stand out from the crowd as a single.
Both the single and album are out now and the band are on tour in February playing Cardiff on the 19th, London on the 20th and Birmingham on the 21st..
