Nelly Furtado - Maneater
Nelly Furtado has managed to somehow bridge the gap between pop and serious coffee table music quite nicely on her first two albums, not sure if that’s down to just the music or her exotic good looks helping, but either way she’s done it.
Her third album is promising to be a more beat driven album, no real surprise being as Timbaland has produced the majority of it, including this killer first single Maneater.
No it’s not a cover version don’t worry, it’s a fat (yeah I know it should be phat) beated pop diamond in the same vein as Diirty by Christina or Slave 4 You by Britney, I don’t think I’ve heard a better straight up pop song so far this year.
The single is out now with the album Loose released next week.
