Aidy - Maybe
Cambridge threesome Aidy released debut single Maybe at the end of November. Maybe starts ok, good beat, nice guitars, vocals ok but lyrics a bit lame. From what I can tell the lyrics are about setting your aims/goals so low, you avoid disappointment. Perhaps this is tongue in cheek or perhaps it’s a reality for Aidy, hope its tongue in cheek but for me its all so very predictable.
Nothing stands out its quite bland and to be honest, boring. The b-side doesn’t alter my perception of the band, however that’s not to say that we don’t see some talent, however it’s only a brief glimpse. I hope that aims will be set higher in 2009 and the obvious talent will shine through.
