Josh Pyke - Memories & Dust

Josh Pyke is a guy who you will hear a lot more of over the coming years, although we may have had our fill of singer-songwriters over the last year or two, this guy is right up there with Willy Mason for me and brushes people like Jack Savoretti, Jack Johnson, Scott Matthews and David Gray away without any trouble.

He first came to our attention at TBS with the release of his Feeding The Wolves mini album last year, it might have only had seven tracks to it, but it gave us a very good taster for this full length effort. He gained another fan within our imaginary offices when Smartie saw him supporting (and blowing off stage) Scott Matthews a few weeks ago.

Memories & Dust is a brilliant debut album, from the quirky yet charming pop of the single Middle Of The Hill, to the more poignant tracks like Memories & Dust, Sew My Name and Buttons it’s got something different in every listen on every track.
