Funeral For A Friend - Memory And Humanity

I was so happy when I got this CD to review because I really love ‘Funeral For A Friend’. I have been waiting for this album to come out. ‘Hours’ was their best album, in my opinion, till now. ‘Memory And Humanity’ is more of their fantastic post-hardcore style with a new technical edge.

They have moved away from their more Emo sounding ways and this album is a bit harder. Really something I can get my teeth into. This will be going in my keepers collection in my car!

The good tracks are nicely placed along the album. I really hate it when you get a new CD and the first five, maybe six, tracks are unbelievable, then it just deteriorates from then on. This is all put together as a mix.

The band recently had some bad news when the six year running bassist, Gareth Davies, decided to leave due to the strain on his family. It is a real shame, but I’m sure they will plough on making their new tour one never to be forgotten. I am hoping I am going to be lucky enough to get tickets.

‘Memory And Humanity’ is released 13th October through Join Us Records. Any fan of FFAF needs this album. It’s a refreshing new sound from them.
