The Hours - Narcissus Road 4 Track Sampler

Every year we seem to start the year by saying that so and so band are this years Keane/Coldplay…well you’ll be pleased to know that we have this years contenders already lined up for you.

The Hours laid down their intention last year with Ali In The Jungle, an infectious pop song with a chorus that had you singing along instantly. Last week they released the equally epic Back When You Were Good which tells the well worn tale of people who have everything and blow it all.

I can’t see that being an issue for Antony Genn and Martin Slattery though listening to this four track promo for their debut album Narcissus Road. The previously mentioned tracks open things, Love You More is the the more edgy cousin of those tracks and mentions nearly everything I love in life (football, record collection, Sopranos) and the final track is the more reflective I Miss You.

Don’t be surprised if in six months time they are releasing the fifth single from the album and have sold a million records. The album is out on the 5th Feb.
