The Beat Surrender

I really can’t get my head around why Natasha Bedingfield is so massive at the moment, everywhere you turn she is on every single tv station, all radio stations are giving repeated plays to her I Wanna Have Your Babies single, that crashed into the top ten effortlessly and she seems to be huge in America.

Strange bevcause although she isn’t ugly she doesn’t stand out as a natural beauty, which is one thing that does get you far in the world of pop, musically she has very little to offer that you couldn’t get already from the myriad of female stars that already litter the charts.

The biggest sticking point for me is her voice, it just doesn’t cut it for me, on How Do You Do? it goes beyond the realms of irritating into down-right annoying. the only two tracks that offered a glimpse to me of where the music and the vocals are in perfect match to produce good pop tracks were on Soulmate and the Prince like Who Knows.
