Laura Marling - Night Terrors
Laura Marling is one of my favourite singers at the moment, for one so young she has a magnificent way of phrasing her words and musically is as good as they come. Her album Alas I Cannot Swim is one of the best released this year and I’m really hoping to catch her live in a few weeks when she visits Leeds.
The latest single from that album is Night Terror, not the most commercial of tracks and not an obvious choice of single. The 45 isn’t where the track best sits as it doesn’t have enough on it’s own to stand out and grab you, as an album track though it’s brilliant, so if you haven’t got the long player yet then spend that extra few quid to purchase that rather than the single.
