Sylver - Nighttime Calls
Astonishingly this duo have sold over 600,000 albums worldwide, won numerous awards and are big in their native Belgium….yet i’ve never even heard of them before this album dropped on my doorstep.
Listening to Nighttime Calls (their third album and first to be released in the US) I don’t feel too disappointed to have missed out on their career so far. It’s all fairly formulaic dance pop, which from looking at the cover is no real surprise either, pretty girl with badly dressed DJ chap (jesus look at the cardigan he’s wearing) who is the brains behind her voice has been done so many times to death already.
Still 600,000 Sylver fans can’t all be wrong so guess it’s just me that isn’t too keen on this Euro trash.
