Kano - Nite Nite

The more I hear from Kano the more impressed I become, Nite Nite is a soulful ‘street(s)’ track that is clearly influenced by collaborating with Mike Skinner and his vocalist Leo The Lion.

The Dizzee Rascal influence is equally as evident, they do seem like peas in pod when it comes to emceeing styles, however Kano opts for a more subtle and warmer musical backdrop to give his track a fresh and summery feel.

The b-side, Reload It is probably nearer to what you expect from him, a full on grime-tastic party track that hurtles along at a hundred miles an hour, leaving you dizzy by the end of it, bit like when you show off on the roundabout in the park when you are six years old…..or was that just me?

The single and album are both out now on 679 Recordings.
