Computerman - No More Broken Hearts
Definite growers this clutch of tracks on the No More Broken Hearts release by the fast rising Computerman.
Things all sounded a little bit ordinary on first listen, a couple of plays down the line though and the tracks are finding their feet. Synth heavy indie pop from the likes of The Killers would be a reference point (albeit an English Killers!).
No More Broken Hearts hints at bands like Interpol and Editors, with a New Order style bass (Hooky you have so much to answer for), but the star of the show here is the edgier Watch More Television. Even the No Recover demo which is featured as a bonus on the CD single sounds polished and promising.
Having played six Club NME nights already recently these Nottingham boys could well be worth keeping an eye on in 2006.
