Ironik - No Point In Wasting Tears

The kis quite clearly love this album and DJ Ironik himself, they have helped him to two big hits, racked uip millions of plays on his MySpace site and will no doubt be keen to catch him on his forthcoming tour.

Personally i’m not getting the hype, the album opens with Stay With Me (Everybody’s Free) which rips of Rozalla and features chipmunk like vocals which really do irritate the shit out of me. He follows that up with recent single I Wanna Be Your Man which is his attempt at a love song, by this point i’ve had enough already.

Far from throwing in the white towel though I battle on bravely, while i’m instantly rewarded with Amazing i’m brought back down to earth with Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer) which oddly features Elton John! As the rest of the album plays out it’s obvious he has a lot of friends, collaborations come and go on a frequent basis across the 18 tracks, but it’s his tracks with Digga that lift the album slightly, albeit not enough for me.
