The Shortwave Set - No Social
I loved The Debt Collection when it came out nearly three years ago, it was one of those albums that I had on repeat throughout the tail end of Summer, with it’s sunshine melodies mixing perfectly with the psychedelic madness that comes through in all their tracks.
On production duties this time they have somehow managed to get hold of Danger Mouse and the early signs are good. OK so I’ve only heard the single No Social so far, but it seems to have kept the feel of the original album together while also making them even more accessible.
Replica Sun Machine could be one of the albums of the year quite easily if it lives up to my expectations.
