Full Time Hobbyhave been one of the best and most consistent record labels around for a few years now and quite rightly they want to shout about it!

They’ve chosen the brilliant route of releasing a compilation album featuring ten artists, as is the rule with these kind of compilations it’s got a play on words title. Not Doing It For The Quids not only rips off a Robbie Williams song in it’s title but is also a statement of intent. This isn’t some money making scheme, they are selling it for £1.99 and the intention is clear, lets make it as cheap as possible so that it’s not a gamble for people to buy it, that way we’ll introduce as many people as possible to these artists.

Hopefully it will work too because within this compilation you have some seriously underrated artists such as Tunng, The Accidental, Micah P Hinson, Viva Voce and The Accidental who all deserve so much success.

Also included are The Hold Steady, Malcolm Middleton, White Denim and Surfjan Stevens who have done well for press coverage recently, Autolux who are always steady and Fujiya & Miyagi who FTH chased for eighteen months before they signed to the label.

If you have £2 spare then treat yourselves to this compilation, scrap that, if you don’t have £2 spare then borrow it off someone and buy it.
