The Gay Blades - Not Having Done Nothing

No The Gay Blades aren’t a reference to that old Sheffield United away kit they had that was pink and absolutely awful, but instead are a much fancied duo (Clark Westfield – vocals and guitar and Puppy Mills – drums) who have already wowed the SWXW crowd this year and released the single O-Shot to critical acclaim.

Not Having Done Nothing is the latest single and delivers more of the same, namely good time arms in the air, upbeat rock ‘n’ roll fun with a dash of pop and a nod to funk in the same way that Passion Pit and The Virgins do.

Lieable stuff as singles, it’ll be interesting to hear how it transposes across onto their album Ghosts.
