Mary J Blige And U2 - One
I have to be honest I was in two minds about this release, on one hand you are throwing together two heavyweight legends of their respective fields, but then it is a version of a song that has been done so many times and is an absolute classic.
So my first impression was, well why bother? As the song gets going though those thoughts are quickly dispelled, both Mary J Blige and Bono are great vocalists with distinctive styles and voices. The combination works well and turns what could have been a disaster into a very passable future hit.
The single One is released on the 3rd April.
