Pama International - Pama Outernational

Pama International follow up the 2008 release of Love Filled Dub Band with the release of a brand new album Pama Outernational through the label Rockers Revolt.

Featuring Lynval Golding & Sir Horace Panter from The Specials and with production from John Collins (the Ghost Town producer not the former Monaco and Fulham footballer), it’s not a huge shock that this album is both very good and also heavily influenced by heavyweight dub icons Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby, but this is an album that deserves credit in it’s own right.

Opening with the skanking dub of Equity & Justice For All, the highlights come thick and fast. I Still Love You More isn’t just a brilliant dub track, it’s also a fine pop song and if there was any justice it would be a huge hit. They do the mellow side of things well as well, What You Do Now is a lovely melody filled track that is blissfully unaware of how addictive it is once you’ve heard it.

With a host of guest musicians joining the group and the nepotistic support slot with The Specials coming up things are looking brighter than ever for Pama International...and deservedly so.
