The Len Price 3 - Pictures
It’s frustrating how some bands seem to go through their careers without getting the attention and audience they deserve, the latest of which seems to be The Len Price 3 who have been around for a while now but not really made the breakthrough their easy on the ear music deserves.
It could be because in essence they asren’t offering anything new or revolutionary, but the media and the British buying public seem happy enough to pander to the likes of the The Enemy and theyare far, far more derivative than TLP3 will ever be.
The latest album Pictures is their third and strongest to date in my eyes. A complete album that doesn’t drop the ball at any time, it’s sprinkled with tracks like I Don’t Believe You, Pictures, If You Lived Round Here and Under The Thumb that are as fine an example of powerpop you’ll hear this year.
A group i’d definitely like to see live who have delivered an album with energy, excellent lyrics and a clutch of two and a half minute length songs that are to be cherrished, preferably by more people than they currently count as fans. Get on it folks.
