Underworld - Ring Road
Underworld made a strong comeback with their last album Oblivion Bells and one of the stand-out moments from that has now emerged as a single with a full remix package.
Ring Road is a sublime journey through Romford in the eyes of the band as they visit various destinations and come across a myriad of characters that make up Britain today. It is Romford but it could be any town or city in the UK. The vocal is set to a crunchy beat and a mellow soundscape that blends surprisingly well.
On the remix front Laid Back Luke takes the track down a much heavier route, the Autokratz Left Hand Drive Remix is more of an eletro offering. Kris Menace builds the track up slowly and the Fake Blood Remix is a twisted effort with a punchy beat.
