Eli 'Paperboy' Reed & The True Loves - Roll With You

I was quite close to giving this album four out of five as it is almost perfect musically and vocally, my only real area of concern is that it’s basically a retreo sounding 60’s soul album, without any form of modern twist put on it.

Now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that in itself, it’s just some of the other artists i’ve got into over the last few years that hark back to the 60’s and 70’s for inspiration put their own modern element into it.

Once you get past the comparisons and the fact that you are listening to an unashemedly retro album it’s a really nice smooth listen, soulful ballads and more upbeat numbers mingle together throughout and it’s hard to not tap your feet along to it.
