David Cronenberg's Wife - Runaway Pram
David Cronenberg’s Wife release their third single in the last twelve months and this is possibly their best one yet. While My Best Friends Going Out With A Girl I Like did make me chuckle, they seem to have got the balance a lot better between the comedy aspect and the music on this one.
Runaway Pram certainly has it’s funny moments, but it’s the slightly sinister new-wave guitar that sets this one out from the crowd. Not quite sure about the Russian and German version that appear on the b-side, but I am looking forward to the album when it drops in August.
