Emar - Sacred Soul

Emar really is the all embracing World Music singer as on her debut album (Sacred Soul) she sings in Arabic, English, Church Slavonic, Hindi, Persian and Serbian, full marks for that as I struggle with English on the best of days and thats just talking.

The album is influenced by the likes of Enigma, Delirium etc and I have to say it doesn’t meet their standards, the rhythms are a little dull, the beats start off promising but soon became too similar and with only four of the eleven tracks under the five minute barrier I quickly become bored.

I was hoping that repeated plays or using it as background music might see it fit better with me, but unfortunately i’m just not getting this.
