Nell Bryden - Second Time Around
We are currently awash with pretty female singers who take inspiration from a bygone age in both their vocal and musical style, but listening to Nell Bryden i’m happy to add another one into the favoured list on the strength of this EP.
Second Time Around is a clever three track EP, with a more swing-jazz based track leading the way as the title song. Late Night Call has a blues feel to the song and Goodbye is a delicious track that is the more modern of three songs, this one having a more soulful feel.
She isn’t a new kid on the block, but if I had one she’d be the new kid on my iPod!
