Astrid Williamson - Shhh…
Currently my second favourite female singer-songwriter at the moment. Astrid Williamson returns with a single from her third album Day Of The Lone Wolf this week.
Shhh… is the the second single to be taken from the album and it’s a fine choice. On listening to the album it was always one of the standout tracks, a big hook laden chorus helps it along, but even without that the arrangement compliments the vocals beautifully.
On the b-side you get a live version of True Romance which should hammer home to everyone exactly why they should go see her live. Oh and in case you were wondering Gemma Hayes is my current favourite!
