Millencolin - Shut You Out
Shut You Out, taken from the album Kingwood is released to coincide with Millencolin’s current UK tour as part of the Eastpak Antidote Tour.
The problem that I have with this offering from the Swedish Pop rockers is that it’s just too accessible, they are aiming for the teenage punk market obviously and i’m sure they’ll go down a storm in America with it, but for me it needs more of a real edge to it.
They do get closer to this on the b-side Ratboy’s Masterplan (unfortunately it isn’t the story of Lee Bowyers football career) this has more of a faster, sneering feel to it and is a marked improvement on the a-side.
The single is out now on Burning Heart Records.
