Black Feather - Silhouette

Harald Frøland, the Jaga Jazzist guitarist takes time out from his main band duties to deliver a very nice solo project of his own…cheers Harold!

Working under the name Black Feather his Silhouette album has some real moments throughout the nine tracks as it drifts effortlessly between atmospheric ambient rock and dark, edgy shoegazing pop. It’s a very philosophiocal album so unlikely to convert the Oasis fans out there who are crying over Noel’s decision, but the deeper thinkers amongst you will appreciate the lyrics.

A warm and well played album with some really nice melodies throughout, it lacks a bit of punch in a couple of tracks but as an album it’s very hard to fault it. Worth a listen definitely.
