The Indigo Road - Simple / Goodbye To You
London outfit The Indigo Road have drafted in the daughter of Wings guitarist Denny Laine to help them out on vocals for their double a-side single release and she does a pretty good job for them overall.
In truth their isn’t anything special about either Simple or Goodbye To You, the first track is a slightly whimsical acoustic guitar lead song that would disappear if given radio play, Goodbye To You though is a little more ballsy and probably wouldn’t sound out of place on somewhere like XFM.
I think the songs will probably come more into their own if they make it onto a full length album, for me their is a lot of potential here, I just don’t think they have that singles feel about them.
