Conor Oberst - Souled Out!!!
While Conor Oberst continually flatters to deceive for me when it comes to his albums under what ever guise he has at the time, I do find the odd song in and amongst the average and mundane that hints at the greatness bestowed upon him in certain quarters.
His recent self titled album was another missed opportunity of an album, but the first single from it is anything but. It’s a breezy track that has a pop edge to it while he lyrically goes off on a bit of a tangent it still remains one of the album highlights.
