Glassglue - Spiral Stair / If I Were The Sky Right Now
Debut single for London based Glassglue who have been described as Progressive/New Wave.
Spiral Stair starts quietly with slow quirky keyboards/synth the vocals are strange and heavily accented. Could have been ok if it weren’t for the terrible synth which sounded like a cheap car alarm, you know the one that always goes off just after midnight but no one appears to turn off and it drives you insane.
If I Were The Sky Right Now is livelier and for me the better of the two tracks but I have to say this time it was the vocals which let it down, really not my cup of tea.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy the single. I did however really enjoy your review: none of the positive reviews mentioned that the repeating couplet on the organ is taken from the notes of a car alarm - incidentally, one which was going off outside my flat, the night I wrote it.
