Bob Marley & The Wailers - Stand Up Jamrock (Ashley Beadle Remix)
The sixth and final single in the limited releases see’s Bob Marley and the Wailers given the remix treatment from one of my favourite dance producers over the years.
It was always going to be a winner, mainly because Ashley Beadle is a smart bloke who knows how to show respect to a track, let’s be honest you don’t f*** with Bob do you!
Here he goes for a simplistic deeper reggae dub sound and some nice yet sparse effects in and amongst the familar vocals, it works a treat and finishes nicely on a drawn out siren.
Not exactly aimed towards the dancefloor where you’d normally find his stuff, but Beedle will no doubt be happy enough for you to be nodding along to this in the chill out room at four in the morning or on someones sofa at six after a bit of post club partying.
The single is out now and is also on the Africa Unite singles collection.
