The Beat Poets - Staring Stars Down / G.I.
The Beat Poets are the best band i’ve heard come out of Northern Ireland for years and it seems that i’m not the only one thinking that as they’ve already had high profile support slots with Sonic Youth, The Chemical Brothers and The Duke Spirit and have over 300,000 profile views on their MySpace site.
Musically this double a-side single release is dynamite, Staring Stars Down is Primal Scream meets MC5’s post punk and G.I. is a more straight forward track that has a touch of the Gang Of Four about it. Both good tracks and definitely a band that are heading places, expect big things in the next couple of years.
