Performance - Surrender
I bought a few Performance singles in the last two years and they are a band that I had some hopes for, edgy electronica was the order of the day back then though. Not sure if it’s the signing to a major label (Polydor) that has done it, but the first thing they’ve released on the label is aiming towards chart land.
Surrender is unashamedly following in the footsteps of The Bravery and the format they’ve laid down, which when you break it down is basically the Human League twenty years on. They’ll sell more records this way i’m sure, but i’mstart to lose interest already, maybe the next single will give us a better idea of where they are going to take this?
