Coco Electrik - Tainted Love
A much-covered song most remembered by Soft Cell in the 80’s. Now this was never my favourite track back then but unfortunately you can’t help but compare and this version doesn’t come out very well.
It’s not the most exciting cover, I like it best when covers sound either much better or really different and this is neither. It’s a little boring and I can’t imagine who it would appeal to. Coco Electrik are billed, as pop/funk so it should appeal to the dance market but for me it’s just not interesting enough to get played in clubs. Unfortunately a bit too ordinary
