The Steeples - Tea For Two
Liverpool group The Steeples release their debut album this month and despite not liking their debut single (which opens this album) Britney’s Tears that much when it was released, i’ve found the album a lot more palatable.
They have a chirpy, very upbeat indie-pop sound that isn’t a million miles away from the likes of The Wombats and Scouting For Girls. The relentless touring they’ve done has clearly made them into a very tight band and i’m sure they’d be good live, I just worry for them that in a crowded market, they may not have enough to set them apart from the rest.
The album is out now threough Easy Money Records.
