Delenio - The American Dream EP
Delenio is a unique voice in hip-hop circles with his background set to put people off before they’ve even heard what he has to say or how he puts it across musically.
He’s white, he’s middle class and he’s well educated which is bound to set alarm bells ringing in what is traditionally a black working class genre on either side of the Atlantic.
Putting those things aside though what you are left with on The American Dream EP is a 5 tracker (ok one of the tracks is a radio friendly version of one of the songs) that has decent beats, is fairly well put together musically without being particularly cutting edge, but has some excellent rants at some very justifiable targets.
It’ll be interesting to see how Delenio develops and how he’s accepted, it’s a promising start, but no more than that at this stage.
