The Black Ghosts - The Black Ghosts

Simian have gone on to produce some great music through the various groups that have formed on the back of their demise after such promising openings. The latest off of the musical production line is The Black Ghosts which consists of former Simian man Simon Lord and Wiseguy Theo Keating.

Together they’ve made an album that aside from a couple of weaker tracks (I Want Nothing and Until It Comes Again) is a strong album that puts them firmly at the forefront of the coolest dance albums released this year. They give big nods to electro, both present and from the 1980’s, the vocals are good and suit the music well and in their collaboration with Damon Albarn have guaranteed themselves one track that I was always going to love, it’s Repetition Kills You and with a wide release and airplay could be a big hit with it’s slinky Hot Chip feel.
