The Brent Flood - The Brent Flood EP

When a band cites British Sea Power and Interpol as current influences i’m intriuged by them as i’ve always liked Interpol but British Sea Power have never really scratched the surface with me. Add to that having The Smiths, Radiohead and Jeff Buckley as early influences and you can’t help but be interested.

Opening track on this self titled EP due for release on the 5th March is Heavy Petting, the Smiths and Interpol influences are far more evident on this track than any others on the EP. Its a track bristling with confidence and is urgent in every way.

The rest of the EP lacks the same spark as the opener but none the less The Brent Flood are still a band that are worth looking into to see for yourself.
