The Beat Surrender

The emFire Collection is as the title suggests a compilation of tracks released by Sasha on his own label over the last year. It’s spread over two discs with the first disc containing two remixes of each of the four tracks he’s released by four different remixers (The Field, Radio Slave, Slam and Audion). The second disc features the four original tracks (including exclusive edits) and ‘New Emissions Of Light & Sound’.

The first disc I have to say I found pretty boring, the remixes didn’t add anything to the originals and weighing in at 70 minutes in total it might offer value for money but is ultimately a bit monotonous. The second disco though is class, the originals are good and very varied (which doesn’t come out from the remixes), the best thoughis saved till last with the forty minute film score mix New Emissions Of Light & Sound, it’s a brilliant track that takes you on a real ride.
