Keltica - The Purple Edit

Irish three-piece Keltica seem to want to hinder themselves as much as possible. While i’d always take substance over style anytime a little bit of style doesn’t go amiss!

I’m talking about the fact that they have called themselves Keltica which is a truly horrible name for a band, but worse than that they send out one of the dullest looking promo CD’s i’ve ever seen in my life, with their slightly odd logo on.

Putting aside the aesthetics of the band and onto the music itself things do at least take a decent upward turn. The comparisons have been made with The Cranberries but I always hated her voice, where as lead singer Keslyn has a beautifully soft vocal that oozes over each of the six tracks on offer here on The Purple Edit EP.
