Waajeed & The Bling 47 Group - The War LP

Triple P was the debut album from Waajeed’s Platinum Pipers Group, with it being critically lauded on it’s release, having initially approached this album as a collection of productions for Manchester label Fat City Records, Waajeed decided instead to record a brand new album instead.

The same people are involved in the project, the only real difference being that he has this time opted for a much tougher sound, less tracks veer towards r & b and soul, with more of a hip-hop feel running through the album.

I did find The War LP quite difficult to get into, where as a lot f hip hop albums have hooks or a melody here and there that will draw you back to the songs, this one didn’t. It’s released on double CD (one mixed one unmixed) and double LP and is out now.

It could all be so simple, but you'd rather make it hard, loving you is like a battle and we both end up with scars. -- Lauryn Hill
