Thomas Tantrum - Thomas Tantrum
Thomas Tantrum are a band rather than solo artist, a band that seem to build their entire sound around youthful exuberance and the confidence of front woman Megan Thomas who also plays guitar. I don’t object to either of these things being their building blocks musically either as listening to this infectious debut it clearly works for them.
The sound is as I’ve said a youthful one, it’s not the most complex music you’ll ever hear, coming on somewhere between The Ting Tings and Kate Nash if she had a bigger band with her.
Recent single Work It is a definite highlight, I love Shake It! Shake It! And I can’t help but laugh along with Why The English Are Rubbish. It won’t be everyones cup of tea and I would advise listening before buying, but if you like one track you hear, the rest of the album will fall into place for you as well.
